EKG Study Guide The products at Central Ohio Emergency Medical Associates, LLC were created by:
Chris Farmer, RN, an Emergency Department and Critical Care Nurse in Columbus, Ohio. The first version of the EKG Study Guide was written in response to a need they identified while teaching ACLS Courses to Paramedics, Nurses, Medical Residents and Attending Physicians. They realized that many of those course participants needed to "brush up" on their rhythm recognition skills prior to the course, and created the EKG Study Guide as a means for those course participants to review at their own pace, prior to the course, rather than needing to extend the time in the classroom. The results they saw were immediate! The students found that a simple review that was fun to read and easy to understand dramatically improved their rhythm recognition skills. Before long, Rob and Chris were being asked if their EKG Study Guide could be used in other ACLS courses, as well as Nursing and Paramedic programs in the area. That quickly led to an updated version, and the addition of more comprehensive materials concerning the cardiovascular system as a whole. As the word spread, so did the demand for the text, leading to the availability of a bound version and e-book version available to you here today, now in it's fourth version!
